What started as a Lancaster Uni weekend visit turned into over a decade of adventures and laughter.

Where it all began…
We met at 20, Emily living with Alex’s best school friends at Lancaster University, and Alex turning up so often he practically paid rent. She was from Surrey, he was from Lancashire - two totally different worlds connected by mutual friends and the same silly sense of humour.
After a year in Lancaster, we did two years of long distance, when we’d often meet in Spain (because yes, flying to Spain was genuinely cheaper than getting UK trains from North to South). With Alex’s mum (Lizz) living out there at the time, Spain quickly became our unofficial halfway point - and the backdrop to some of our favourite early memories.
Eventually, Alex made the move to London, and we’ve been living together since 2017.
Alex proposed in September 2024, at Emily’s family cottage in Canada, on the dock on Lake Bernard where she spent every summer growing up.
We’ve planned a wedding that brings together everything we love: our incredible family, friends, amazing food, great music, hopefully sunshine and a big old party in a country that means a lot to us.
We cannot wait to celebrate with you. Bring your best dance moves. And maybe some sun cream.
